Poverty and inequality is the key dynamic of the modern state. Decades of neo-liberalism and a succession of useless governments have come and gone and the plight of people in poverty gets worse. Millions of people are in poverty in the UK and Britain is in a race to the bottom. Work – on rubbish wages and insecure contracts – simply does not pay.

Finally people have had enough. They sometimes focus their energies on the wrong things that they think will help them – Brexit or Trump for example – but there are real alternatives – challenging the narrative that poverty is acceptable.  This site is about encouraging people to stand up, take action, to think and to analyse.

The result may be direct action, on the ground, to improve life chances and campaign against oppression.
